After Isaias, a Sea of Blue Tarps. Whose Name Is on the Block?

Isaias came ashore Friday near Destin, Florida, as a Category 2 hurricane, then pushed north into Alabama on Saturday. At the peak, nearly 800,000 homes and businesses across the Gulf Coast lost power. By Sunday afternoon about 356,000 were still dark in southern Alabama and northwest Florida.
At least four deaths have been linked to the storm. If you and your crews were in it, we hope everyone is safe and your own roof held. Take care of your people first. Everything below can wait until that's done.
What every street looks like this week
Around Pensacola and Milton, the wind tore roofs off buildings. Across the region, trees are down on houses and in yards, and crews are still clearing roads. On street after street, the damaged roofs are getting the same first fix: a blue tarp.
That's the right call for now. But it means every damaged house looks alike, and so does every crew working on them.
What happens when the reroofs start
In a few weeks the adjusters finish, the claims settle and the reroof work starts. Each of those streets will have three or four crews on it at once. The neighbors will be watching from their driveways, many of them needing a roof too, and they won't be able to tell one truck from the next.
That is where storm work gets won or lost. Not on the roof, but in what the neighbors remember about the crew that took care of the house next door.
Be the brand that owns the block
A Smart Tarp puts your name, your colors and your QR code on every job. It protects the lawn, the landscaping and the driveway from tear-off debris, and while it's down, a neighbor can scan it from the sidewalk and send the lead straight to you.
In a sea of blue tarps, your logo is the one thing on the street that stands out.
Every jobsite becomes a sign in the exact neighborhoods where every house needs work.
The homeowner sees a crew that protected his yard. That's the impression that earns the review and the referral.
Why this week matters
Timing is the part to act on. You get four design mock-ups within 3 to 5 days of sending your logo, and nothing prints until you approve. Your order ships 14 to 21 business days after artwork approval. Order now and your tarps arrive about when the reroofs start. Wait until the phones are ringing and you'll work the busiest stretch of your year looking like everyone else.
Not in the storm zone? If your crews are heading in to help, the same math applies. Get your brand on the ground before you go.
Through the end of October, the Triple Threat Combo is $3,195 (list $3,995): nine custom Smart Tarps, three 20x30s, three 16x20s and three 8x10s, each with your logo and QR lead capture. It also qualifies for the $500 Brand Ambassador rebate when you show it on 5 residential jobs within 60 days.
