Obviously, we are in a rough and tough industry , but Smart Tarps are built for this . We have customers using Smart Tarps multiple times per week, now going into their 3rd season.
The Value: Most roofers view tarps as "trash protection." You need to pivot them to "Active Marketing."
The Answer: "Think of it as a 360° neighborhood billboard. While your crew works, your brand is the most professional thing on the street. Neighbors don't see a messy job site; they see a company that invests in protecting their property. Our customers report 5–10 inbound leads per job just from the visual impact."
Versatility. Solid tarps provide 100% water and debris protection for hardscapes (driveways/sidewalks), while our Breathable Mesh allows airflow to protect expensive landscaping and lawns from 'burning' in the sun. The 1-2 Punch ensures you have the right tool for every property type.
Attaching the Smart Tarp™ is straightforward and flexible, ensuring ease of use for all tasks. The Smart Tarp™ is triple hemmed on all four sides for added durability and features brass commercial grommets every 24 inches for secure fastening. Depending on the specific job requirements, the Smart Tarp™ can be installed at the soffit, gutter, or shingle. This versatility allows it to attach to the roof in the same manner as any other tarp, so your subcontractors and teams won't need to modify their usual installation processes. This ease of attachment and robust construction make the Smart Tarp™ an efficient and reliable choice for the roofing industry.
The Smart Tarp™ Attachment Protocol
The Gold Standard: The Pure Vertical Drop
Your Smart Tarp™ system is engineered to hang 100% vertically from the eave line straight down to the ground. It acts as a protective shield for the structure's face. When heavy, high-velocity tear-off debris is pushed off the roof deck, it falls, strikes the slick face of the vertically suspended material, and glances safely away from the house onto the ground.
Because the debris never rests or piles up on the substrate, your attachment points only have to manage wind-load and basic tension—making deployment incredibly fast.
Method 1: Standard Gutter Attachment
When a home has gutters, your system mounts to the outermost front edge of the gutter assembly and drops cleanly to the dirt.
The Hardware: Heavy-Duty Steel Spring Clamps (Vinyl-Tipped).
Step-by-Step Field Execution:
Bring the top reinforced webbing hem of the Smart Tarp™ up to meet the outer front lip of the gutter.
Space out your vinyl-tipped spring clamps every 3 to 4 feet along the run.
Clamp the panel’s hem directly to the outer aluminum gutter lip. The non-marring vinyl pads create an unshakeable friction lock against the rigid metal wall without scratching, denting, or bending the gutter's paint finish.
Let the lightweight Eco-Substrate drop straight down vertically to shield the home's siding and windows.
Method 2: Non-Gutter Roofs – The Drip Edge Lock
When a property has no gutters but features a standard metal drip edge along the naked eave line, you clamp directly to the metal profile.
The Hardware: Heavy-Duty Steel Spring Clamps (Vinyl-Tipped).
Step-by-Step Field Execution:
Align the top reinforced hem of the tarp directly with the vertical face of the metal drip edge right below the starter shingles.
Open your heavy-duty spring clamps and sandwich the panel webbing directly to the metal lip of the drip edge every 3 feet. Ensure the jaw bites firmly onto the rigid underside of the metal profile.
The vinyl tips prevent any scratching or bending of the aluminum edge while holding the top of your vertical wall completely secure. Drop the tarp straight to the ground.
Method 3: Non-Gutter Roofs – The Wood Fascia Sandwich
If the roof line has no gutters and no usable metal drip edge profile, you anchor directly into the bare or painted wood fascia board.
The Hardware: A 3-foot wooden shingle shim (or 1x2 wood batten strip) and two short exterior screws/roofing nails.
Step-by-Step Field Execution:
Hold the top reinforced webbing hem of the Smart Tarp™ flat against the vertical face of the wooden fascia board right below the roof line.
Place a 3-foot wood shim directly over the material's webbing.
Drive two short screws or roofing nails through the wood shim and the tarp webbing into the wooden fascia board.
Why this works: The wood shim acts as a giant structural washer. Instead of a single nail head putting concentrated stress on the fabric, the shim distributes the wind-load evenly across 3 feet of reinforced webbing. When the job is done, the screws back out cleanly, leaving virtually invisible pinholes in the wood.
Method 4: Open Eaves – The Rafter Tail Wrap
For older homes, rustic builds, or barns where there are no gutters and no flat fascia boards covering the framing.
The Hardware: Large, Wide-Jaw Steel Spring Clamps.
Step-by-Step Field Execution:
Pull the top edge of the Smart Tarp™ up to meet the exposed, structural wooden rafter tails underneath the roof overhang.
Use your wide-jaw spring clamps to bite the reinforced hem of the panel directly around the sides or ends of the exposed wood rafter tails.
This creates a rock-solid, zero-damage mechanical anchor directly into the framing of the building, allowing the shield to drop straight down to protect the foundation and landscaping.
Time is money. Our systems are designed for rapid deployment with reinforced grommets and intuitive sizing. Most crews shave 15–20 minutes off their setup and teardown per job compared to wrestling with plywood or disposable plastic, which can save you dozens of man-hours per month.
Although we call it a "tarp" a Smart Tarp is actually manufactured from commercial grade coated vinyl substrate , designed to be incredibly durable, it is in comparison, stronger than any other product in the roofing space, including mesh, standard tarps and typical vista print style banners.
Smart Tarp™ are yes by our definition a "Tarp" however, they are not manufactures from trapline but from a vinyl substrate equivalent to the durability of a 20mil+ run of the mill mesh or bargain tarp
No. We use industrial-grade, UV-cured inks that are bonded directly into the fabric. They are designed to withstand the rigors of a roofing site, including shingle drag and power washing. This isn't a sticker—it's part of the tarp
Yard signs are small, easily missed, and often blown over. Smart Tarps are impossible to ignore. They cover the focal point of the property and dominate the visual space. You aren't just placing a sign; you're 'owning' the entire job site

6 months warranty against manufacturer defects such as ink fading in excess of 25% or any ink peeling upon initial usage.
To clarify how our program works, our manufacturer's warranty strictly covers structural material defects—things like a heat-welded seam separating or a reinforced webbing hem failing under normal tension. Because this equipment goes into the brutal environment of active construction sites where we cannot control how crews deploy, store, or care for the material, this structural warranty is limited to a 6-month window from the time of delivery. Surface scratches, scuffs, and shingle granule abrasions are a different story altogether. They are cosmetic surface wear, not manufacturing defects. In our industry, those mechanical scratches are actually direct physical proof that your property shields did exactly what you bought them to do: they took the brutal, abrasive friction of thousands of pounds of falling asphalt debris so the homeowner's siding, paint, and windows didn't have to.
